Burns began her career on television in 1995 as Peg the American-Spanish teenager on the comedy Out of the Blue. Burns joined the cast of the action-drama series Baywatch in 1998 and subsequently starred in Baywatch's second rendition Baywatch: Hawaii until she quit the show due to her first child.
